From the studio this week
I have been irrationally coveting the Trader Joe’s mini tote, but absolutely refuse to stand in line to get one. Found this pattern on Etsy instead. It took a few hours to make it and I’ve heard the lines for the Trader Joe’s ones also take a few hours :)
Finding new and joyful ways to fill my notebooks.
And finally, the conclusion to a project I started in January: my first fabric book! I took a six week virtual class with María José Durán Steinman at the beginning of the year and continued to work on this in fits and starts. Now that one book is done, I’m ready to start another.
The official book review from my 2-year-old son, “More!” Which I take as the highest compliment.

Recs
The Great Noank Quilt Factory book by Sharon McKain - This quilt book might be the all-in-one quilting tutorial you need (especially if like me, you are a little allergic to patterns and want to improvise).
The Wilderness by Aysegül Savas - A tender essay about the early days of postpartum, for anyone who felt alone during that time!
Stay Alive Studio - got a new cap from Stay Alive Studio, a local artist who makes very cool things!
That’s it for now! See you next time ;)
