In case you didn’t notice, the pace of these emails has slowed down (50% slower to be precise). I was finding that I spent more time writing about making work than actually making new work. So, in order to shift my priorities a bit and make more art this year, I will be doing twice monthly newsletters, one completely free and one with a paywall partway through. You don’t have to pay to receive news from me, but I would encourage you to consider supporting my work at $5 per month if the emails are something you consistently open and enjoy. Become a knot in my net!

Mutual Aid for Artists round two

Well, so far we have no requests for supplies from the mutual aid fund so the entire pot will be going to a family in Los Angeles that has lost their home. If you are a reader in LA who has lost their home, please reach out!

The month in photos and links

Running full steam ahead with the energy of a new year and checking things off my list already.

Don’t fret though, at this rate of activity I will hit full burnout within another two weeks and move back to my regular pace of living.

  • Sourdough success

  • Speaking of sourdough, this zine about rye from Raven Bakery looks cool! I haven’t taken the dive into rye bread yet, but I feel like it’s an inevitable evolution.

  • Thrift finds from my favorite, Big Reuse they have select items available online.

  • Went on a Pinterest bender for kids’ projects. Immediately ran to make these binoculars out of toilet paper rolls! Lots of great ideas for toilet paper rolls there.
