The Holiday Spectacular: Part Two
A few more ideas for you to have a creative and restorative holiday break.
Hello! I took one piece of my own advice and made a spaceship out of a cardboard box. Was it more fun for me than my one-year-old? Yes! Absolutely.Â
If you missed last week, The Holiday Spectacular: Part One is a good place to start!

Basic mending tutorial (tip: use an orange instead of purchasing a darning mushroom)
Try your hand at collage, this process is really blowing my mind:
We’ve been reading so much Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and now I want to make collages out of painting scraps. I remember we did a project like this in elementary school art class and it stuck with me all these years. Eric Carle is a national hero.
A painted scrap collage is perhaps a very good way to continue decorating my cardboard box spaceship.
If I haven’t convinced you to start drawing yet, maybe these will?
I’m off to enjoy this holiday week! Hope you can find something you like here. See you next Sunday.
